Google Indexing Tips – Get Indexed by Google Within Few Minutes

Every blogger wishes to have that recently published post get indexed in Google as soon as possible or perhaps in a few minutes. But this doesn’t happen with every one. There are certain issues like if you only post once in a month, or have longer periods of inactivity on your websites, search engine bots have nothing to index so the crawl frequency is automatically reduced until you start publishing fresh content more frequently.

Get indexed by Google Fast

If you using WordPress as your blogging platform I have some tips to ensure that your content get’s indexed in Google in matter of minutes. I have tested these tips on two of my websites(including this one) and it works for both of them. Note that other site is completely new and has no back links and social media mentions at all. Still new content published on the site was indexed by Google in a few minutes.

I assume that the website you wish to have indexed faster is added and verified in Google Webmaster Tools. Please ensure that you have all the basic configuration settings in Webmaster tools completed. These include adding a appropriate sitemap of your website.

First

Site Update Services

A short description of what the services do:

Update Services are tools you can use to let other people know you’ve updated your blog. WordPress automatically notifies popular Update Services that you’ve updated your blog by sending a XML-RPCping each time you create or update a post.

So basically, whenever you hit the publish button from the post editor, various search engines and services are notified that you’ve published a new article and that they should index it.

To get indexed faster in Google here are the only three update services or WordPress ping list you should use:

  1. http://rpc.pingomatic.com
  2. http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2
  3. http://ping.myblog.jp

Paste the above services under Settings >> Writing>> Update services

Second

Must-install WordPress plugins

These are the two WordPress plugins that should be activated to notify search engines immediately about your published article. Install them and see how they help you get your content indexed faster in a matter of minutes.

  1. PubSubHubbub
  2. Pushpress

These plugins do the most important task of notifying search engines in near real-time through the PubSubHubbub protocol. This open protocol is used for publish and subscribe communication on the internet. To learn more about the protocol read  the Wikipedia page which details more about it.

Third

Create Good Content More Frequently

Nothing beats this!

Creating good informative content on a regular basis helps in search engine bots crawl your website more frequently.

How do I check if the Article was Indexed Quickly

Go to Google.com and paste the link of your article in the search box. If the 1st result shows your article, see the number of minutes ago it got indexed in the search result description.

This article got indexed by Google in just 1 min. Here’s the screenshot:
